Default My TE37s are in...kind of.

Ok so my wheels came in...Volk TE37 19x9.5 rears +22 in bronze. But my order was kind of screwed up so the 19x8.5 front wheels won't be available until May.

But I'm wondering if i should go with the 9.5's in the front too running a 245/35 tire. I know that Volk uses the 9.5's in the front in their special setup with 10.5 rears.

May is only a month or 2 away when the wheels arrive.

Opinions?

Hey Jim!

when did you get your Z!? You defected the TL family too and came over to the dark side???

Let me know when you get your TE 37's installed. I want to come check them out... Do you still hang out at Tetsu's??

Did you get the Tanabe's yet?

Hey bro!!!

I got my Z on the 19th of March...5 weeks earlier than anticipated. The dealer had a cancelled order that had small extras in addition to what i wanted.

Yes i still hang out with Tetsu...he's been getting more serious with his driving at autocross/track events and he drives with the guys from Signal and club4ag from what i understand.

Did i get the Tanabe's what? I missed my chance for the exhaust when they needed a Z for testing but my car may be up for suspension upgrades relatively soon.

Hey maybe we'll do a minimeet at Starbucks at the crossroads. Bobowah goes there often too. Can't beat 24 hr starbucks.

Talk to ya soon.

I think 9.5" front would rub, without some way of pushing them out, which I assume was denoted by "special setup" if you can match that special setup you could do it. might be more weight and price than its worth tho... wider tires get more drag as well.

i will be running the 19x9.5 fronts 22mm and 19x10.5 22mm rears at the end of the month or the beginning of next month.

i say why not if you want to stay the same wheels front and back.
22mm all around that is.

john

2 sets of silvers te-37s

19x8.5 22mm fronts and 19x9.5 12mm rears

Woops... I meant the Tanabe exhaust. I think you were telling me before that you were going to get the prototype exhaust from Tanabe.

I still don't know which Starbachs you're talking about... is it the one right next to (kinda) Tetsu's shop? The new one?

Can I ask when and where you ordered your wheels from?

9.5s in front should fit. You may need to roll the arches just a bit, but I guess we'll find out.

Jeremy at Street Sports may be able to get you TE37s sooner than May.

I ordered my wheels through ES Technical Roadsports in Gardena, CA. My company is an aftermarket retailer and the guys from ES are buddies so I get my wheels at distributor cost. I ordered my wheels back in January.

I can wait until May just from the cost aspect.

I think I am going with the 9.5 setup all the way around. I'm more curious to see how well they'll fit...if i have to roll the fenders and don't quite feel like it then i can always sell 2 of them. I'll know next week when the tires come in.

How much would it be to have the spokes gun metal and everything else regular silver?? Would that be the same price as just getting gun metal?

You can't do that unless it's custom...Meaning taking it to a shop and stripping and repainting, and even then it might not come out right, because there's no defined lip...

There are other rims out that have gun centers and polished lips without having to get special painting + paying extra.
