Default List your tires

I was searching through the forum for info as to what people where using and their opinions towards it. Found a few threads, but I figured it would be a helpfull and resourceful thread if we all posted our mods or hp, and what tires and sizes have worked for them.

- I currently have 245/35 19 and 255/35/19, BFG KDW 2. Procharger and I get No traction whatsoever. Selling my 19's and getting 18's so I can run Nitto 555r DR's all the time.

You're running 255's in the rear? that's probably your problem right there--tires too skinny.. I'm running 285's on 10.5 wide rims and i wanna go to 295 or 305's when these wear out.. (my fenders are rolled)..

toyo t1r 245 285 and love them, just put the stock wheels with toyo tpt all seasons on for winter in the factory size and wow what a diffrence it is. the z slides around and has bad traction, i forgot how good the t1r's are.

Excellent article. Very informative. If fact the top 5 tires match recent Consumers Reports testing.

I recommend Falken azenis 615's, these things are awesome, even in the wet. If you go 18's I suggest you go wide in the rear to have some sort of traction, 9"+.

Great input. I think I am leaning towards the Nitto's. I was going back and forth between selling my wheels and tries that I have now(19x8.5, 19x9.5/245/35/19 255/35/19) buying the same or similar wheel in 18 inch and running Dr's all the time, or just getting and old set of wheels and mounting dr's on them for the strip. I read that it was impossible to get a good 60 foot with the tires that I have now, even if they were wider due to the compund being hard.

Hankook VENTUS SPORT K104 245-35 Front / 275-35 Rear

I pulled a 2.15 60' on them on 20" rims and it was my first time at the track.
These tires are great when it's dry and so-so when it's wet.

It is between the BFG and the Nitto Dr's. I may do a feeler sometime in january to see if anyone is interested in my current wheels/tires. Let them go for cheap.

Not me. Never was a fan of Dunlop tires except their D40A2s and SP8000. Dunlop might have some awesome tires for sport bikes but non of their tires ever impressed me. (Including the Dunlop DZ101)
