Default Is selling stock rims and tires a good idea?

I'm thinking about selling my stock wheels and tires because i have no other use for them other then collecting dust in my barn. I know keeping them would help resale value of the car, but i have a good offer for them now. The tires are also in very good shape. I like my aftermarket wheels and tires, so is there other reasons to keep them I'm not thinking about? Any opinions would be great!

FYI : 35th Aniv Wheels, Tires, TPS

I see no problem, unless you want to return the car back to stock anytime soon. The 35th anniversary wheels are pretty awesome IMO and I would imagine there would be a lot of interest in them

the only other reason i could think of keeping them would be to use them as a set of winter wheels or so. so if you live where you think they could become damaged by the conditions then i would say keep them so you could switch them out.

I think you need to ask yourself if you are going to keep the Z or get rid of it in a couple of years. If you think you'll be moving on soon then keep the stocks because you can sell the aftermarket wheels and recoupe some of that money. Dealers and buyers will either ignore or low ball the value of the wheels. Many people swear that they'll keep their cars forever, but end up at the end selling or trading the car. I say wait a little bit longer.

Well even if you are planning to keep the Z it never hurts to have a spare around if you end up busting a wheel and can't service the car. It's better to run on stock wheels then the stupid donut around town.
