Default staggered tires or same all around?

im thinking about putting my 18x9.5 et 20 work emotions up front and getting some 18x9.5 et 12 for the rears. what is the recommended tire size if i want to keep the same handling characteristics as my set up now? im running 245/40 x 275/40 on my 18x8.5/9.5 et 20 all around. i was thinking about going 265/40/18 all around but now thinking about 255/40 x 285/40.

I've been looking everywhere for the same question. I suppose stagger will have fewer vdc problems, and is easier to drive, with a tad more understeer. Same all around seems to eliminate understeer, but has a heavier steering feel and could induce oversteer. But I don't really know

Im almost sure u wont fit 285x40 on those wheels on stock fenders. and 285x40 would look rediculous. stick to 255/40 275/35 if u want mild understeer (on stock suspension)

I'm personally thinking the 10.5's all around with 265/35/18's. Every shop I've talked to, won't do that setup... but, I have no problems handling a neutral car.

You drive a Enthusiast with 17 inch wheels. The rear tires have an addition 10mm width. What the same handling with 18 or 19 inch wheels? Then make the rear tires 10mm wider than the front.
