Mods: You can make this a sticky if you wish. I think it would be helpful to a lot of people. I also made the title easier to search.
If you've ever weighed your rims, please post your sizes, tires and weight.
I just weighed these (on a bathroom scale-should be accurate to +-1lb though):
Stock 06 rims:
18x8.5 (F) with stock Potenzas: 46lbs
18x9 (R) with stock Potenzas : 52lbs
Volk LE28n:
19x9.5 (F) with Toyo T1S 255/35/19: 41lbs
19.10.5 (R) with Toyo T1S 275/35/19: 46lbs

I recently purchased a set of PIAA rims with toyo T1R tires, and my main concern was the weight of the PIAA/Toyo combo vs. the weight of the 2006 Stock Rims / Bridgestone RE040 combo. Per the wheel and tire weights published by the respective wheel/tire manufacturers, the PIAA/Toyo combo will be a couple pounds lighter on each corner. However, the increased diameter and wheel width will tend to increase the rotational inertia of the wheel/tire combo because more of the weight is pushed out to a larger radius, so performance-wise my 'upgrade' may be a wash in regards to acceleration. However the gain in traction should make the upgrade worthwhile.
Anyway my point is, since two equally sized tires made by different manufacturers can vary in weight, I think it is also a good idea to consider tire weight in conjunction with wheel weight. I say this because a lot of performance-oriented individuals here like to focus on the nuances of 18 lbs per wheel vs. 18.5 lbs per wheel.
