Default SSR SP1 test fit pics on a G35

I'm in the process of purchasing these wheels from Seattle-CPV35, and did a test fit to see how they look. Its an 8.5/9.5 setup with a 3.5" rear lip. The offsets are kinda weak, so I'm likely going to add spacers in the rear to push it out further once I get my fenders rolled in the spring. Also need to purchase some centercaps and see if the TPMS will transfer from my stock rims. Let me know what you guys think, I got a pretty good deal on them, and I LOVE stepped lips. Thinking about taking them apart and having the centers powdercoated a dark gunmetal color

mmmm.. they look good! I just bought the same wheels also, but in the black color for the Z and 8.5 in the fronts and 10" rear. Can't wait to get them in! Looks like you got a good deal too

edit: centers powdercoated a dark gunmetal would look HAWT! Kinda sad that they don't come from the factory in gunmetal

Where'd you get yours from? There's been debate about whether there is a difference between the SSR version available from certain importers and the SSW version sold by tirerack. These are direct from Japan, but I believe the only difference is in the sizes and offsets available while the manufacturing process is the same.

I bought'em used from the classies. I'm pretty sure that the one's I'm getting are the SSW (by SSR) version. Offset and sizes are one of the few differences. I'm not sure but I believe that the true SSR's have clearcoated chrome lips also. I've also heard that the process used to make the new SSWs isn't forged like the old SSRs. But that's all hearsay to me and I'm not sure on all of it.

BTW, Tanabe bought out SSR and is producing the SSW line.
