Default (edit) Got my wheels! Too bad it's winter...

Hey folks,

First here is some background to my request. I am planning on buying a set of wheels & tires within the next month or so, size 19"x9.5 with 255/35/19 front, 19"x10.5 with 275/35/19 rear. Offset is about +22 all around. I won't use the wheels and tires until spring '07, but I want to purchase now while they are in stock at Status and before I get too comfortable seeing those four thousand bucks sitting in my bank account. However when I do buy them, I probably won't be able (or willing) to afford any suspension upgrades for at least a few months after. So then I will be rolling around on stock suspension with the wheel setup mentioned above for a few months. So my question: Does anyone have pictures of their Z with the same or similar wheel/tire setup as I mentioned riding at stock height? 2006 Z would be preferable as I know there is some argument that the '06 sits higher than previous years, but really any year will do.

I want to see what it looks like so I know what I'll be getting into for a few months. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer.

285/35 will look/fit better IMO, below is a friends car with 19X10.5's +22 offset, and rear tire size I mentioned at stock ride height....

Thanks for the input Alberto. It makes sense that the 285 width will look better since it pushes the sidewalls out a bit and fills in some of the gap, but the tradeoff is that I will have to roll or cut the fenders eventually when I lower it (assuming the 10.5 width and +22 offset). Thanks a lot for the picture...it actually doesn't look as bad as I thought it would!

Any one else with pictures, please feel free to post

For that awesome look and wider contact patch, spending $100 to roll the fenders is way worth it IMO. Good luck...with the 275/35 you will likely still need a roll once lowering regardless of what people say, and while stock the gap will of course be much larger.

Awesome man! I assume those PIAA's are 9" wide in the front and 10" in the rear? That is one of my favorite wheels. Can you confirm your wheel and tire sizes? I have a lead on a pretty hot deal for a set of these super rozza's so your input would be appreciated!

No problem, they were 19x9 and 19x10 +25 offset all around, with Toyo T1-R 245/35 fronts and 275/35 rears. I sold these a while back to a lucky forum member.

Well based on everyone's input via pictures, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a set of PIAA Super Rozza's in silver, 19x9 +25 Front, 19x10 +25 Rear with 245/35 Front and 275/35 Rear. I like that PIAA has the 10" wide option, which Volk did not offer in any of the wheels I was looking at. Also one of my favorite wheels currently is Work S2R which does not come in 19", but the Super Rozzas sure look a lot like them! Went with Toyo T1R to see what all the fuss is about. I should have the wheels within a week or so, but won't mount them until spring : ( Sorry, no pics till later. Thanks again for all your help guys!

Thanks! I'm pretty anxious, and the fact that I have to wait until spring to put them on will make me appreciate them that much more.

By the way, did you have the hyperblack or silver? It looks like the sunlight was fading when you took the picture that you posted, so I can't tell which color it is.

Sweet, that's what I was hoping It's not as bright of a silver as say Volk's Mercury Silver, which I wanted to stay away from. Thanks for all the input Vestax!
