Same tire size front and back?
I am planning on keeping my factory 17" wheels. My question is... we all get two different size tires front and back, has anyone looked into having the same size tires front and back when it's time for replacements? I would like to have the same size front and back so I could rotate my tires front to back. I would like to find out if I put the wider tire size all the way around, would I have any clearence problems with the front wheel well. If anyone has any information on this, please let me know.

There is a maximun size you can put in front, I think about 255 mm.
It's preferable to go wider in the back in a RWD car. I know that it's a ***** to have two different tire sizes but you have to live with it.

You still can't rotate with the 17"s unless you take off the tires and switch them... The 17" wheels are wider in the back. It would handle like crap if you put the 8" wheel in the front and the 7.5" wheel in the back.....

but you could still rotate them side to side, if you bought a tire that was not direction like the pirelli p zero Nero's. but side to side rotation really wouldnt be too helpful because it would wear the same way.

the size difference isnt totally what kepps you from rotating, its the fact that the Z has directional tread, most performance tires are this way.
to rotate you have to remove the tire from the rim and mount it back on reversed, then you can move left to right and right to left. but as someone said, its not as good as rotating diagonal.
you could maybe find a tire size that will work on both rims, its not too difficult to make a tire fit both 7.5 and 8" rims, not totally ideal, but if you really wanted to...
