Default Rim balanced with no weights?????

This is probably a dumb question, but I had a new set of falken tire mounted on the 18x8JJ 2003-2005 stock wheels and when I got them home, I was looking at the weights on the back of the wheels and I noticed that one had two square weights, two had three, but one had NONE... so my question is, did this guy forget to balance that wheel? or is it possible for it to be in balance without having to use any weights?

In theory, the wheel/tire combination was balanced without needing any weights. I can't say I've ever seen that happen to one of mine but I guess it's possible.

I guess if you drive it around and don't feel any vibrations, then it's good.

Im just so used to seeing weights on wheels when they are balanced, i have read that weights are only used to balance irregularities in the tire

There could be an irregularity in the wheel diametrically opposed from an irregularity in the tire, whose magnitudes offset each other with respect to the distance away from the hub center, and the assembly balanced itself naturally. Anything is possible, it's just not common.

If it zeros out on the balancer then you are fine. Generally with higher quality tires and wheels you will have less weight to counter balance the irregularity.
