Tires spinning too much
I have 18s te-37 with some nitto 555 extreme. I bought the rims from a friend with the tires with 60% tread left. Besides all that, why am i spinning soo much? also my TCS seems to come on driving normal daily. Now when it comes to racing someone, the tcs will come on insanely and i would end up losing to a couple of my buddies.. Any idea guys?

my all seasons launch best in the fall. In the summer they're greasy and in the winter they're stiff. Summer tires will be horrible below 50 degrees. Around 20 degrees you definately can't gun it even in 3rd gear.

if your new wheel/tire combo is a slightly different diameter than your stock, the tcs will think the front and rear wheels are going different speeds. That is if your fronts are correct and your rears are incorrect, or if they both are incorrect but in different amounts. If the car thinks the wheels are not in sync with each other, it will assume your rears are spinning and will engage.
Check the diameter using a wheel/tire size calculator and check with your buddy on whether his car had the tcs or not. If not, he wouldn't have noticed the problem.
This is a problem for all rwd cars with tcs when the wheels/tires are changed.

What are your sidewall profiles?
245/??R18
275/??R18
My guess, just hearing your issues, you are running 245/40R18 in front and 275/35R18 out back. This would put your backs at a smaller diameter than the fronts and cause SLIP to come on during long sweepers on the freeway etc.

I have the exact same tires and size and dont have a problem at all. I actually try to overpower them all the time and slide around corners. I think there the best tire I've ever had. Just get used to them and you might like them.

Thanks a lot guys for the info. yes my tires sizes are 245/40 and 275/35. With my slip turned off, it will be even worst. but whatever the case is, i hope its all b/c of the temperature.
