Question Decided on these offsets for my widebody.. what you think?

Hi guys,

I dont post here much but im ordering a set of wheels directly from Volk themselves in Japan (through a dealer here) and just wanted to confirm one last time before I send out the order. These are for the Veilside V3 widebody kit recommended by Volk:

Volk GTC 20" GOLD

Front: 20 x 9.5 +20 offset
Rear: 20 x 10.5 +10 offset

I chose the rear offset as +10 so that I have the option of adding a spacer if needed later on for the V3 widebody

The other option that Volk offered is:

Front: 20 x 9.5 +20 offset
Rear: 20 x 10.5 -12 offset

I figured these would be better but till I get my bodykit it will stick out too much and look ugly.. or so I believe. If any of you guys think otherwise from experience let me know.

I need to make the order by tomorrow so any suggestions would be appreciated thanks!

man up and get some wider wheels...10.5's just aren't going to cut it on a widebody.

I agree. I would hold off on putting the wheels on until you finish your wide body. That way, you can buy the correct offset wheel, and not worry about using a giant spacer.

Im not planning on going FI for a long time.. so gettin 11.5 rear wheels would add weight considerably and slow the NA car down.

I want to stick to 10.5 rear and get a very low offset (-12?) to make it stick out as much as possible. I dont think I would need more than 1" spacer if I need to.

No point in getting anything over a 10" wide rear if you arnt putting some power down. Plus tires get real expensive and the pickings are slim.

No offense but going wide body and running 20 inch rims are already going to add more weight, which will slow you down. Might as well get wider rims, probably only a couple more lbs at the most.

If you ask Performance nissan they have order a set of GTC in 20" for the veilside widebody before. They should have the spec for you...

If you go with a wider wheels and wider tires that will = 10+ lbs per side (width of rims, width of tires and air pressure)...

Whats the point of getting a widebody if you're not going to put wider tires inside the wider fenders.

rear with 10.5 is ok if you have negative offset. However, the flare of V3 widebody kit is HUGE. You're talking about almost 2'. If possible, get 20x11 in the rear so you can put on some wider tire.

Widebody, 20' wheel? forget about performance if you don't have FI. It's more of a show car now.
