What do you guys use to remove your wheels?
I used the factory lug wrench but it scratched up the rims.
I have a torque wrench torque wrench only tightens and I don't think there's any way to reverse it unless i open it up and mess with the gears.

New to this kind of stuff so don't flame me.

I use a deep socket wrench with the 6" extension. I also put some duct tape around the wrench or key to keep them from scratching the rims.

 

Get an extension. Also buy a set of gorilla tuner lug nuts and a set of gorilla locking lug if you got expensive wheels. Those lugs/locks comes with keys that extends out and will clear your wheels. Plus it's hard to steal rims what are bolted down with tuner lugs AND tuner wheel locks. Just a bit more safe IMO.

 

This is no problem..........anytime you can buy new tools its a happy day. Thin wall socket with some tape like said above.

 

Why not just get some gorilla tuner lug nuts. It's safer since thieves will need a key instead AND he will also get to use the key as an extension. Win win situation IMO. Thieves will want everything - even stock rims.

 

I use a 4-way lug wrench, with the key to my McGard spline drive lugs. No worries about scratching.

+1 on the 4-way lug wrench..

 

Plastic coated deep socket.

 

 

I wrapped some electrical tape around the socket. Works fine for me.

 

I use my impact wrench and a deep socket to remove the lug nuts. Then I use a torque wrench to put them back on the car.
