Silver paint with clear coat. Don't know about Rays.

The stock touring wheels chip way too easy to be anything but wetcoat and clear.

Because my ***-hat dealer killed my rims, I am going to have them stripped and powder coated White. Should be very striking.

I had a MINI that was green with White wheels and I have loved that look ever since.

Back to your question on the RAYS...
Chances are- most mass produced aluminum alloy wheels are wet coated w/ clear. The reason for this is time, paint costs and quality issues. Wet paints are easier to apply and cost less to buy. Heating an aluminum wheel to 300-400 degrees to cure powder often causes out-gassing problems resulting in pin holes.
The correct powder coating system for aluminum wheels is a low temp cure process that takes longer to cure and uses specialized powders.

So to answer your question, I have no idea what on the RAYS wheels.

You can check it... go to a dealership, take out your key and drag it on a wheel... oops! just a kiddin.

I think the board vernacular is:

When you refer to Ray's, you mean the wheels that come stock on Track models.

TE37's are marketed under the Volk brand, i.e.: Volk TE37. Volk is but one division of Ray's Engineering.
