Looks good. Just slam it a little more or run a 35 series tire. Needs some aero though. And **** all these haters they don't know dick about wheel fitment. They're busy trying to make the VDC god happy with their 275/40/18s on their 9.5s. Or you get the others saying you need at least a 305 wide tire with a 4x4 sidewall to put down all their 250 whp.

props for pushing the envelope of wheel fitment

lol why do you need rim protection... learn to park ahaha Not every one here tracks their car and needs wide tires.

I run -3.5 camber ... doesn't wear poorly at at all after 5000 miles. Toe kills tires not camber.

I couldn't agree more. I think it looks great. I don't think many of the people on here realize how -2.2 degrees of camber is very normal if you want your car to handle worth a crap. Going any lower than about -1.8 and you will lose a lot of handling. Also what is the point of so many people saying you need to run a bigger tire. A 255 is plenty wide for someone unless they are makeing crazy hp and just building a drag car. Putting a larger tire on adds to the rotating weight and also kill handling. I'm just signing in using my brothers account but can't beleive how many people on here are obssessed with larger tires when they don't need them. Running a 305 or 315 is crazy. Talk about a heavy tire. Not to mention that the sidewall is going to roll and flex in the corners if you are trying to road race it. Look at most time attack cars that are probably a lot faster than most of the cars on here and you'll see they aren't running crazy wide tires. Bigger isn't always better.

Looks terrible. I just hate the whole stretched tire look though, and that gap between the rim and the tire. Glad you're happy with your setup though.

aside from oversized tires ... I dont even like the wheels. There is no concave to them. Dont really understand why you would run these .. they stick out which is fine .. but there flat with huge tires. I dunno just looks weird to me. To each his own !

yeah, to each his own huge tires, oversized? wtf, last time i checked they were pretty much on scale with the normal. 245/35f-normal for 19" and 255/40r is just about equal to a 275/35/19 maybe by .3" of an inch. oversized my ***...

one example in you sig as well "hks titainium exhaust" f*ck, it isnt titainium, just the freakin tips are and it sounds like ***...but i guess..to each his own right?

^^^ forumlaZ

That is def a bulky tire for that wheel regardless of how you justify it. I gave him my opinion and Im entitled to do so. I always take a respectful approach, poeple make there own decisions ... however your either to thick headed to understand this concept or your just full of negativity. You post pictures in hope of response .. sorry if it isnt what you want to hear. Dont throw it out for all of the enthusiest family to view it if your going to cry about constructive criticism. Better yet, let the OP responed to me .. I dont think you need to speak for anyone else but yourself.

Pretty classic for you to view my signiture and pick something negative out of it. Immature and a pathetic thing to do. The HKS exhuast sounds like **** .. hahahaha. Im interested in what exhaust you think sounds good.

.. haha whats next, you think my time attacks look like **** too huh. Dayum, I should probably stop buying such sh*tty parts for my Z

This site is in effect due to its informative foundation .. poeple with your negative and provoking approach ruin it for everyone else.

To the OP... Congrats on the new set-up regardless if Im not fond of it.

i dont really need to justify anything, you pointed out that it was an oversized tire and i came back with the dimensions of that tire just .3" taller than that of a 275/35 tire. actually, a 285/35 tire has exactly the same dimensions as that 255/40 except for the tread width obviously. no NA z should need anymore than that, if your fi, thats a different story. a bigger tire is just heavy and not needed for na purposes. i dont really care what you think but when you say something completely wrong, oversized tire, it should be pointed out that you are wrong.

as a matter of fact, it was my opinion on the hks exhaust, so take it as you will, im entitled to my own opinion correct? btw, in response to your question about the exhuasts, i say for <1k, i say fujitsubo or blitz nur spec, >1000 i say amuse or tommy kaira.

sorry for cluttering up your post daytona, just uneducated people on here.

How does the width of the tire influence the sidewall flex?

I was not arguing the fact that they are oversized for maximum driving performance .. I simply stated that I didnt like the way it looked. In my opinion they appear a bit bulky on the eye. If that what hes going for then great! I understand the fact that we dont need 295's on our Z's ... I completley agree and dont suggest otherwise. Im over wasting valuable space on a irrelavent issue. Uneducated - yes theres lots of them on here, I dont concider myself one of them thank you. Lets move on

When the tires are bulging over the sidewalls they have more give to them and do not handle as well in the corners. Look at most time attack cars and you will see they don't run tires that are the largest size suggested for the rim they run. They usually use the smallest possible tire which helps with steering response.
