Oh and darn it Gary why can't you hook me up with a set of SSR center caps! I can't find them anywhere, sell me one...please? Pretty please? =D
Ok, I"ll make an exception for you SSR >HATES IT< when we order caps separately because they always think it's going to a replica wheel, but we buy enough from them where they can't say no. Shoot me an e-mail I"ll get your order sorted for you. Just to let you know it's coming on the boat so like 4-6 weeks though. Cheers,

Gary

Any photos of the bronze color to go along with that gunmetal? Any photos of the gunmetal in direct sunlight?

As you can tell, I'm interested, but wonder about the shade, and also if the spoke is large enough to give a good look when placed on the car. Advan RS just shows a little bit too much of a void for me at 19" with not enough dish. If the RGII was available in 19" I'd probably go there, but these at 19" seem like a great alternative in terms of design eh?
Hi, here's 18"

The offset would be close, the size would be a bit larger. Keep in mind R34 body is pretty large.

I can do $2399/set for the Type CRS in bronze in 19x9.5 +30 or +15, 19x10.5 +30 or +15. It's a special order set and they're pretty hard to come by in that size.

Please let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

Gary

PurelySwift - please post pics if you go with this setup! I haven't seen any 18 or 19 of this setup on any Z yet.

Gary,

Thanks for posting the follow up so quickly.

+30 offset is also ideal, seeing as how the stock Grand Touring wheels are 18x9 +30 front and 19x10 +30 rear. Thanks also for posting the price. I'll send you a PM if I am serious about the purchase.

And rest assured, if I do get them, plenty of pics will follow.

just FYI, tire rack has SSR SP1's in 19" in black for about $400 a wheel. $1600 for a set is pretty nice. its on closeout.

The offsets they offer suck though, and don't maximize lippage. Not a bad price in general though

just add spacers!.. and i do wish SSR would make something with a nice lip. but that probably would only make them heavier.

You can get them with up to a 4.85" lip, which is pretty huge in my book, just not from tirerack. Gruppe-S can probably source them

On the 2-piece wheels, the quality of the Volk versus the SSR wheels is about the same, because both companies use a forged outter matched to a cast inner. That said on the 1 piece wheels - the Volk / Rays cold-forge technology is far superior. As for styling - that's up to the owner

Why do you keep insisting that the SSR wheels are cast? Every SSR wheel is SSF. Semi-solid forged. You should know that since your a dealer. SSF is imbossed on the face of every wheel SSR has ever made.

you could argue that SSF is cast or forged because it is a variation of both techniques

Go to tanabe's japan website and you'll find out that the SSR SP1 and the D5R's are indeed cast and not SSF. Thats the whole reason tirerack sells them as SSW wheels instead of SSR, so they can differentiate them from the SSF wheels.
