SSR wheels are great! They carry almost half the price tag of Volk wheels and are of good quality. We are a big importer of SSR wheels (as we are of Volk wheels).

SSR uses a Semi-Solid-Forge technology on some of their lineup primarily the Type CRS and Type C wheels (1 piece sport wheels). The rest of the lineup, especially the 2-piece wheels such as the SP1 and MS1 wheel line, as well as the luxury Vienna lineup use a gravity cast inner with a cold forged outter. This is the same as the Volk GTV, GTN, etc. line up.

Cheers,

Gary

Just know this, SSR's were being run on JGTC 300 cars. JGTC/Super GT is the top dog Japanese racing series. Why would teams run inferior products when time is of critical concern? When I see rims being run in pro racing circuits, that's what I would buy.

The Gramlite lineup (by Rays Engineering) is all of very high quality. Some of the wheels, like the 57F employ Ray's cold-forge technology. Some of the wheels are gravity cast.

I think it really boils down to this - when you buy well-known JDM or European wheels you can pretty much be sure it's not going to break in half on you during an auto-X when you're car is putting down 450ft/lbs of torque at the rear wheels - you'll just pay a bit more. When you go with the replica stuff - who knows? I've seen wheels crack in half on the track from nothing but high torque.

Cheers,

Gary

Actually imo SSR has more variety in offsets than Volk. The reason I got a +30 for the front is I wasnt sure if the 275 were going to rub, I found out it didnt and I could add a spacer if needed.

Here is a example:

19x10.5J +43, +30, +22, +12, +18, +10, 0, +5, -3, -13, -8, -16, -26,

Obviously it depends on the disk type and how much lip you want on the wheels.

Actually that is the jdm nismo rear and I had my bumper painted black in the bottom to go with the flow of the sides and front bumper. I also had the shop lower the nismo rear pieces so it would be right on the line of the bumper where it was painted black again to just make the lines flow smoothly.

Thanks for the compliment.
