//////<<<---SSR /// Wheels Thread!--->>>/////
Thanks guys! I just ordered Sumitomo HTR Z IIIs, 265/40-18 front and 275/40-18 rear. wheels are 18x9 +27 front and 18x9.5 +22 rear. I'm hoping the front will squeeze in. Although I know it should based on an article from modified mag a while back where they put 275/40 on 18x9 +30 and it barely worked, I bought this car used and I'm not sure if the first dude put some lower springs on it. A mechanic I know commented that they look aftermarket, but right now it's sporting 245/40-19 (unsure of offset) in the front. Somebody reassure me here. I don't want this to turn into a ridiculous fitment/offset thread tho, so don't kill me.

265/35/18 front on a 18x9
295/35/18 rear on a 18x10
off the top of my head, thinking you should have gotten a 265/35 front and 285/35 rear. Your rears might be fine, but I think the fronts will be too tall relative to the rear tires
Yeah, I know what you're saying. I don't have VDC or anything, my Z is the '03 Base model. Is that what you mean when you say too tall in relation to the rears? To be more specific, the thing I'm worried about now that I bought the tires is the front tires clearing the upper mounts on the inside. See here : http://www.modified.com/projectcars/...t_2/index.html
I think if my springs are stock I should be fine (would lower springs affect this?), but thinking back, because I bought it used, I'm just hoping the guy didn't put some hotchkis springs or something similar that might have lowered it a bit. It's running 245/40-19 right now, and when I run the sizes on a tire size calculator, they look to be pretty similar, except that I have no idea what offsets the current wheels are, and the dealership refused to give me the previous owners phone # or anything so I could contact him to ask. Maybe worst case scenario I go with 35 profiles and eat the cost, or 255/40s?
