Default Bigger Tires On Stock Rims

I just picked up the V1 track wheels and I wanted to go wider with the tires. The stock wheels that I had was 18x8.0 (Front) and 18x8.0 (Rear). The track wheels is 18x8.0 (Front) and 18x8.5 (Rear). Just wanted some input how this combo would work and what tires are you using.

225/45R18
245/45R18 (Stock)

245/40R18
265/40R18 (Option)

LOL much better. IMO 255/40/18s are better. Isn't 265/40/18 an offsize in most radials?

The tire manufactures always provide a rim width range for each tire size they have. Look it up!

I have a feeling 265 is too wide for a 8.5 rim. But some tires might still fit.
