Default Toyo T1-R or Falken FK-452?

Just ordered some new wheels 19x9 F 19x10.5 R and need some tire advice... It seems like a lot of people are getting one of these two tires for that size wheel in 245/35/19 and 275(or 285)/35/19. My first thought is to get the Toyos, but I had a bad experience last time around with Toyo. I tried to put the older Toyo Proxes T1S on my stock wheels about 2 years ago and hated it so bad I returned them to Discount Tire. On the track model 18" stock wheels, they felt VERY squishy and non-responive on the road.

Can anyone with comprable size Toyos/Falkens (245/35/19 and 275(or 285)/35/19) comment on their feeling and responsiveness?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thx

People may disagree with me but I would choose the Falkens. I bought my wheels last year and decided to try the Toyos out. Performance wise I'm not a big fan of them. I think the sidewalls are a bit too soft and the compound is not up to par with many other tires. I've tried the Falkens before on my S2k and found them to be very responsive. They are not my favorite tires but for the price they are not too bad.

I have the Falken FK-452 in 245/35/18 and 275/35/18 and they are very good tires in my opinion.

I had the falkens before, and they tend to be a little skinnier than other brand tires of the same specifications because of their more "slanted" sidewalls...

Try ADVAN SPORT.

Try ADVAN SPORT.
With the 452's they made a stiffer sidewall and the tires tend to fill out the rim much more than the 451's.

i just put on the falken 452s in 245/275 40-18 last week, they definitely don't feel squishy, comfy ride too, im sure there are better tires but for 490 a set you can't go wrong with em

The FK452's are soooo much better than the FK451's they replaced. I'd take the FK452's over the T1-R's as well.

Awesome! Thanks for all the great feedback. Definately leaning toward the Falkens now. Talking to a friend he recommended the BFG KDWs, so i might look into them and the mentioned Advans as well.

Is there very much road noise with the 452's? I like a quiet tire....yes, I want it all!

So the 452 is quieter than stock, grips better than stock? What was the deal with them looking skinnier because I beleved the same of the T1-S when I had them.
