Exclamation Tires size recommendation...

Since traction is a b|tch to get with my setup I thought of changing my rear tires which are 275/35/19 to some wider ones.

heres my question, I have 10.5 wheels at the back with 19 offset. I have ONLY two options since thats whats available at the moment, either Michilen PS2 285/35/19 or 295/30/19. which one do you guys recommend and why?

OEM RE040 rolling diameter (validated from Bridgestone's application chart)

F 225/45/18: 25.9"
R 245/45/18: 26.6"

Michelin PS2 rolling diameter (validated from Michelin's application chart)

295/30/19: 26" <-- Close but too short
285/35/19: 26.9" <-- This is closer
305/30/19: 26.25" <-- This would be option 2 for me. May have to roll and cut fenders.

305/30/19 is also another option. rolling/cutting the fenders is not a big deal. anybody running them?

Seriously, I would love to see that tire size. Damn man you live in Dubai? That's tight.

What do you plan on running in the front? I'd recommend the 255/35/19.

You may want to check about fender clearance when running larger than a 275 on the rear wheels with those offsets. I thought a 285/35/19 was a VERY tight fit.

A 285 would throw off your speedo a little(it'll read slightly slower than you're actually traveling). But it may increase traction more than a wider and smaller diameter tire. Think of it as artificial gearing. I vote 285/35/19.

If you still have traction issues change your gear ratio to a 3.3 like Alberto did. Have the rear alignment checked for thrust angle and toe as well.
