Default Urgent Questions before I buy.

I have a question, before I buy the "Torque R" wheels from subydude.com

1- Should I get all 4 rims the same width with larger rear tires or should I get larger rear wheel size altogether.

Thanks to anyone who contributes with some help

What tires do you plan on mounting ?

Choose tires -> select rims with correct width and offset -> buy -> enjoy...

It depends on your preference. You have three choices:

1. Same size wheels and tires (makes rotation easy)
2. Same size wheels, different size tires
3. Different size wheels, different size tires

You cant have the same size all around a Nissan Mechanic told me that it throws the computer off, the rears have to be a different size.

This question is a matter of taste not function. Either way will work.

Chances are that "mechanic" never tried it. I run 265/35/18 on all four corners and drive with VDC on all day long with no problems.

In all honesty the system is looking for a staggered difference. Some people experience problems running the same size tire front and rear, and some do not. I've never had a problem myself.

Ok last question, since the thickness is "40". And currently I am not dropped, will the gap look to big. and if later on I want to drop do I still have room with that thickness tire.

The thickness number is a % ratio of the tire’s width.

So the “40” is actually 40% of 275mm, which is 110mm of tire wall.
Compare that to 45% of 245mm (OEM size), that’s 110.25mm of tire wall.

In the front:
40% of 255mm = 101mm
45% of 225mm = 102mm

That’s pretty darn close !

Wow. Great package of wheels and tires--sizes, wheel style, color, etc.! Great price.
Be absolutely sure to post pics in a couple of days.

I just talked to tirerack and the infromed me that the 255/40/18 may cause problems, and that the widest I could go was 245/40/18. Without causin any problems to the speedo.
