theatrix do you mind me asking how much are those kw coilovers? ever considered stance coilovers?
btw your wheel fitment would look awesome if you lowered your car a lot more with some neg. camber.

Thanks for the input, guys. It will drop this week on KW variant 3's. The drop is 1.5" all the way around. I'm ordering the front and rear arms to adjust camber today. I assume the 1.5" drop will throw camber off significantly.
We will see.

It has nothing to do with performance! Euro homologation laws forbid the mounting of different size tires than what the OEM manufacturer supplies. So these guys cannot put wider tires on their cars. So they'll stretch skinny ones on big pretty rims...

In Germany you'd contact the tire manufacturer, give them your car info and the tire and wheel size you plan to run and they will fax you a confirmation if approved and what tire pressure and max. camber you are allowed to run to not overload the tire.
Regarding the wheel and tire sizes in general, you need to get these TUV approved as aforementioned. The circumference must be within 3% of the original so you have to choose the matching tire width and height. The wheels were allowed to stick out as long as the tire thread was covered - this is the reason for the "stretched" tires. People went with the widest possible wheel but had to use a tire that's thread would still be covered. Lately the sticking out wheels have been forbidden but there are still many older cars on the streets.

I have 225/35/19 on 19x9.5 and 275/30/19 on 19x11.5. I will go 265/30/19 next time. Here is the 11.5 with 275/30/19 Toyo T1S

Looks bad imo, looks wrong and doesn't flow with the rim.. Don't know why you guys are even doing this. If it's to clear the fenders then I think your offsets are too aggressive. just my 2c.

Funny story: A friend of mine was showcasing his new 50 years of Formula 1 book this weekend with a bunch of car enthusiast friends and we came across some SUPER stretched tire pics! We had a conversation on how the stretch effects the response of the tire, where F1 teams are restricted on tire width and choose to run super wide tires, and I had to pull up this thread!
