Default Will 315/35/17 Drag Radials work with stock drivetrain?

This is regrading my friends car, its an 04 350z 6mt, the car is bone stock. We are going to the track tonight and he got a set of 315/35/17 Hoosier Drag Radials at his shop that he wants to throw on the car for a few runs. Are these overkill for the car? Can the stock drivetrain take it without breaking? These came off a 600+ whp Mustang. I tried to search but could not come up with an answer for something this extreme on a stock car, any insight would help.

i think they will slow you down as much as they will give you traction. (if they fit) Little too big in my opinion.

You wouldnt happen to be gonig to Sunshine would you? If so, i might see you out there (blue Z)

Looks like the decision has been made.

Personally I think they would be overkill but its worth a shot just to see what will happen, you never know, he spins his 275/35/19 Toyo T1-r nasty off the line. We are going to Gainesville and bringing his 19s just in case. He is mainly concerned with damaging the drivetrain.

its possible that when he drops the clutch from too high of an RPM, and the tires don't break loose that he'll burn the heck out of his clutch instead
