Talking Made My Decision!!!

Well I've been going back & forth on several wheels choices. I really liked the Gram Lights 57F. Great looking wheel, lightweight etc... I also was about to order the Work CR KAI but EVERYONE has them. As well as almost any Volk and the Nismo GT4 wheel.

I want to be different but I don't want to spend a lot of money for wheels. Well I figured the only way to be different, own a nice set of an excellent, quality wheel is to drop a dime or two.

I have decided to go with the BBS RS-GT. Two-piece fully forged, Diamond Black with Mach Lip, & Lightwieght (21.4lbs front & 22.2lbs rear). Gonna stick with 18x8.5 (225/45) in the front and 18x9.5 (245/45) in the rear with BFG KDW tyres.

I'm not ordering them today or this month, but hopefully this summer along with a big brake kit I order them. After I get both of those I will purchase the JWT Twin Turbo kit.

Congrats on deciding on some new wheels. It's about time. The BBS wheels are nice but if you are going F/I do you think you'll have enough rubber on the ground in the rear with that sizing?

Well the car will be parked in my garage and the wife will drive it ever once in a while.
As far as the JWT, I like the smaller turbos for faster spool up. IMO its more a daily driver kit vs some others.

Thanks! That is a concern of mine and thought about doing 19x10. However for a daily driver I don't think a half an inch is going to make that much of a difference.

If you go with those wheel sizes, don't stick with the stock tire sizes, go with 245s and 275s.

^^^+1

I was wondering why you'd go with stock tire sizes. I'd definitely go with the 245/275 combo.

Which KDW? According to specs on Tirerack, the KDW2 recommended rim width for a 275/35/18 tire is 9.5" and for a 245/35/18 it's 8.5". Good luck man. I run an ST set up and even w/ BFG KDW2 285/35/19 rear I can break the back end loose. My car is not daily driven, but driven often.

Would an 18x9.5(F) & 19x10.0(R) work?

sure would, but its a very specific wheel that would need to be ordered, as the pad heights will make it work/not work

Pics of this wheel on a Z please

I would absolutly go with at least a 10.0 rear wheel.

not ona Z..but the color is gorgeous, and it's not another "me too" wheel

they have a really nice lip out back too when you get the right sizing

I've got a pic on a Z but its not lowered so looks a bit "odd"

Can I still see the pic of them installed on the Z. Thanks!!!

EDIT: Also if I do go to a 19x10 do you recommend at +40 or +25mm offset?
