Default AAM Spacer and Areosync CF Strut Bar

Ok so I bought the Aerosync CF Strut Bar which by the way is top notch and love it. Only problem is I have to do the same thing I did with the stock strut bar and add washers underneath for it to clear. Then it is so high that the hood shuts, but with a bow in it. Anyone else with this set up get it on without washers and if so could you help me out? I moved it around for literally hours last night trying everything I could think of. Would love to get it on right with clearance and no washers if possible.

Thanks in advance Jason!!

You may have to choose between one or the other.

How did you do it? I have the aam spacer, and my stock strut bar rubs even with the washers. Are there any aftermarket strut bars that have more clearance?

Jon yes you helped me by realizing I won't get it to clear without the hood hitting but I really don't care it looks better and is lighter and stiffer. As far as getting it to clear the spacer I used the washers the AAM spacer came with and placed two box end wrenches underneath the bar to get the clearance and then tightened to allen bolts that hold the CF bar on to the mounts. If you look on the bottom of the hood there is an indent for where the strut bar goes across and two little rubber strips to pad between the hood and bar. I'm happy with the results. Hopefully that helps others and thanks John.
