![Question](https://my350z.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Called Tire Rack today to order some new wheels. Wanted to go with 18x8.5 all around with 245-45-18's in order to be able to rotate my tires. The guy at Tire rack said that if I don't stick with factory recomeded sizes and stagger, it will effect the VDC and other electronics in the vehicle. Is this BS ?
Thanks

A shame that you have been a member for 6 months, and not committed this to memory: https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-tires/203755-will-these-tires-work-with-my-vdc-enabled-car-read-here.html

The Tirerack guy is trying to keep people happy:
Some people have issues with all four the same, others don't.
Some work great until they wear the backs down and then they start having "SLIP" problems.
Some never complain of issues.
Some say "just turn off TCS/VDC and be done with it".
So you spend your money and takes your chances.
From my point of view, I'll just buy proper stagger and pay to have them flipped once at about 12k and toss them at 25k cause they wont have much if any tread left on them by then anyway.
