Need help to fix Scratch on my Wheel
Basically, I want to know if anyone has fixed minor scratches on their wheels. I have the 18 inch wheels that come with the performance model. I rubbed a curb at Dunkin Donuts when I was half asleep.
I don't want to refinish the whole wheel. I talked to a couple places in my area (Western Mass) and they were asses and I felt as though they were going to screw me over.
Does anybody have experience touching up wheels themselves? It doesn't have to be perfect, just less noticable. (I know some people might cringe) I have a workshop and almost any tool.
Thanks for the help...sorry for rambling.
Note: The scratch is like 6 inches on the lip. Very minor gouging. (Possibly file down?...what could I fill with?...What type of paint and coating?)
Thanks

when did this happen? i did the same thing 2 days ago....and guess what i was next to...A DUNKIN DONUTS! haha...ironic!
i think i am just going to use the 17s (7 spoke rims from the base model) as the winter beater wheels....and get myself a set of volk 19 inch mercury silver te37's (that color is slightly winning over gunmetal....on a silverstone).
but....yeah....i could use some ideas how to get the scratch out too!
