Default What size tire can I fit?

I have 18 x 10 on the rears. I have some worthless Nitto 275/35/18 on now and they look way too stretched! Looking to replace with some street DR's and was wondering what tire I could fit. I'm more concerned with launching and not so much about handling.

Here's some pics to show how much room I have under my mild drop.

what is the offset of the wheel? looks like it is sticking out about 3/4 of an inch or so.

^ Not sure about the offset. Its whatever Dazz Motorsports recommends for the Z. They're the main distributor for Racinghart so I went with their recommendation. I posted more pics above to show, but the wheel is about flush with the edge of the fender.

I would do a 295/30-18 but you could possibly fit a 305/30-18 depending on how much space you have inside.

^ Would it just be some minor fender rolling if the 305 ended up being a little snug? I don't think I'm in a position to have a shop test fit one.

295s tops but 285s should be perfect.

the part I would be most worried about with the 305 is the inside rubbing on your shock.

you need a 25x11.5R18 to match that sized tire, the closest is the 26x12R18

It'll fit, and you should be okay as long as you don't wheel hop too much off the line, but I wouldn't recommend putting them on before getting to the track as you'll likely rub on turns

See, the thing is, I only put about 300 miles on my car a month. And when I do take it out its to drag race and fool around. I not into taking turns hard so I don't care how the tire reacts in those situations. I'm looking for a tire that when I hit the nitrous on the street it will hook but I'm not spending $400 plus per tire for Pilots or something similar. These MT's are $211 per and from what I gather from hot rod forums seem to hook well.

I'll probably give them a try because they have to be better than my crappy nitto's

Jay.. The nite we raced at Bradenton I had 295/35/18 BFG D/R's on a 10"wheel..No problem with fitment but my car is not dropped at all. JEGS has them for 255.00 per tire

I left my DR's on and have had no problems with them on the street. Definitely would recommend them over the Nittos. You going to Bithlo this weekend.Do you have the website for that racetrack? If not I'll be back in Bradenton next weekend hopefully with my Torque converter put in so I can get a better launch and keep up with you.
