Default Wheel studs questions

Hey guys I searched the forums and I coulnt find anything about wheel studs (prob because the search looked exactly like the front page anyways). I just switched out my rotora bbk for some stock brakes and one of my lug nuts was cross threaded. I had to use an impact driver to remove it and in turn it destroyed the wheel stud. Ive seen aftermarket wheels studs available but how does one put them on? It looked like the studs were permanently pressed into the hub. Any info would be greatly appreciated as I need to fix this asap

i recently had a problem and needed to replace a wheel stud. i bought a oem one from infiniti for $3...took it to a shop and watched them install it. They took off my wheel, removed the two bolts holding down my calipers, slid the rotors off and pushed the wheel stud out and put a new one on and torqued it on tight with some washers and a lug nut...good luck!

^^As described above... It can easily be done in a garage. Pull the wheel off. Remove the caliper in order to remove the rotor. Hammer the old stud out. Install the new stud into the hub. Put a bunch of washers on the stud and tighten the stud down with your lug nut. This'll force the tapered back part of the stud to wedge into to hub. Voila! It's that easy.
