On what wheels? The RT615 comes in 275/35/18 and 295/40/18.

I love my Falken 452s. They are pretty quiet while being quite sticky. I got to test them out today in the rain they never let go unexpectedly

I agree and they're great value for a top of the range street tire. good in wet and the rubber doesn't go hard with time or with a few hot cycles.

i had to replace just the rear Toyo t1r's recently, and purchased some Falken fk-452 's(275/40/18) online for 139 each+shipping. I chose them due to the fact they are exceptionally cheaper than most other street tires, and yet are rated quite well among people who have used them. I have only had them a couple hundred miles and not pushed them yet though, nor know how they fair on a track. GL w/ ur choice

The best tire I would get is not on your list and I have raced at track events with it.

Goodyear F1 GS-D3. Nothing compares.

Mickey Thompson Street Radial. Street legal, normal handling when full-inflated, but run them down to 15psi and they hook like a mother.

I would take the RA1 over the GYF1GSD3 ANY day.

Well yes i know a drag radial would be the best for the strip but what about street tires that i can use at the strip?

RA1 can't compare to the GSD3. RA1 has poor treadwear of 100. The GSD3 has 400. And the GSD3 is the best performing tire out there per many that have tested it.

You want a tire that will last, quiet, great wet and dry traction, and a tire that does awesome on a track the F1 GSD3 is the tire to get.

No, dude, not drag radial, STREET radial. I answered exactly what you asked. I know guys that run these on their DDs, drive to the track, drop the tire pressure, rip off a 1.4 60' and run 10.3s 1/4, then drive home after re-inflating: http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...ETStreetRadial

I agree with you, although "awesome" is VERY subjective. Once I was beyond a novice tracker, I moved away from running street tires. It just wasn't worth it to me to beat up my street wheels and kill the rubber.

I have the Bridgestone RE050A Pole Positions...great tires! Bridgestone has decided that they don't want to be the best kept secret in the tire industry. They are pushing their brand to compete with Michelin and I think they do. I've also got Blizzak LM-22's and they are sweet. The GY F1 GS-D3 doesn't really have a weak sidewall, it's more the tires tread design that makes it feel kind of squooshy...if you drive it at 3/4 or 1/2 tread it feels ridiculous and it's grip is tremendous. I drove on them at the Bondarant Performance driving school and they are sweet tires. I might have gone with them if they would've had them, but they didn't.

Quit being cheap though with your tires, they are the most important part of your vehicle...they only thing between you on the road. Good tires are like good shoes, they can compliment your car or your outfit, but bad shoes can throw off your outfit,...

Price is the lowest issue in my criteria for a set of tires for a car that is expected to run well above 100 + MPH.

Man, rubber is the only thing holding you to the road; I want a set near the top at the best price.

Anyone know of a drag radial that comes in a 275/35/r18?
