Default Need new tires, Suggestions please?

I have done a search on here about tires, and just could not come to a conclusion on what tires to get for my z. I have Nismo 18 x 9.5 rims on the rear. I am just planning on getting rear tires. I have not decided what size to get.

I know 275-40-18 is a good size and is what I have now. I am thinking of possibly upgrading to 285-35-18 or 295-35-18. I think these will be too wide but I am not sure.

Anyone can give me any explanations if it will be too wide to do the 285's?

Also what tires do you recommend and why?

I recommend matching the same tires front and rear. What are your driving habits and requirements? Meaning, you don't need an RA1 for commuting, but KDWs suck for anything aggressive.

The Falken Azenis are the best handling street tires available. With our camber-challenged cars, they trump the Hankooks and Kuhmos because of their stiff CF reinforced sidewalls.

Too expensive and very weak sidewalls.

Right now I have Falken FK 451 tires on the front and rear. They are ok tires. Not a big fan of them.
As of my driving habits, it depends. I live on twisty roads, and sometimes it is fun to drive crazy fast, but sometimes I just cruise around. Mostly it is for street driving, occasional drag strip and occasional autocross and maybe once to a track.

Why? My KDWs have been great. I didn't see the azenis in the running, if they made the azenis in my size I would get them, but kdw is also very good.

Falken Azenis RT615. They are relatively cheap, are street-sticky, are good for autox (32-34psi), and can be used at a road course. They are not a drag-race tire, but neither are most street tires. They don't last long, even with their 200 tread-rating.

Azenis is the 7th choice down, and I'm specifically talking about the RT615s. What size are you looking for? That's why I asked what he wants to do with the tires. KDWs are an ok tire, and better than a Conti SportContact, for example; however, the RT615s are in a class of their own compared to them.

I have a 275-40-18 on the car now.
I am thinking of possibly upgrading to 285-35-18 or 295-35-18.
^I think these will be too wide but I am not sure^

255/35/19 and 275/35/19 Actually next time around I'll probably do 265 up front and 285/295 out back.
