I'm running 255/285 on 9½/10½" wheels. As pointed out, 245/275 are a better combo for smaller wheels, like 8½/9½". The 245's up front look a little too stretched on 9½" wheels.

Remember, the stock difference is 20mm, 255/285 gives you 30mm, 245/285 is 2X stock at 40mm. Makes for a lot of understeer and if you don't watch the profile you choose, the delta in diameter from front to rear gets quite large.

This is good info!!! Thanks. So with the Work's Sizes & offsets (info below) you recommend a 255/35-19 & 285/35-19 set-up?

Front: 19x9.5 R Disk +24 offset
Rear: 19x11 R Disk +36 offset

You'll be fine, the 285's fit the 11" rear.

I'm a little surprised that the rear offset is so large, I would have figured it to be in the +15 range.

Yeah... These are a custom offset set of wheels. So you still recommend the 255/285 or stick with the 245/285 set-up. Sorry I just want to be sure when I place the order.

I like the 255/285 because it gets you a little more rubber up front and has less understeer than 245/285. Plus 245's on 9½" wheels are a little stretched.

Dave is right. 255/35 on 9.5" wheel makes the tires so much more square. I'll let you guys on my experience with the 245 tires - wall crack.

OK... Thanks for the great info guys!!! Once I build up my savings again I'm gonna purchase the tires. 255/35-19 & 285/35-19 Michelin Pilot Sports 2. From Tire Rack with s&h is just shy of $1600. Honestly, not bad for 19" tires.

PS2's are the awesome! Just got my set today, in 255/275. Much better riding than the Bridgeston SO3 I replaced. Much quieter and they don't follow ruts on the road as the SO3. I am running them on 9.5 front, 10.5 rear. They actually have a very nice rim protector which gets rid of the streched out look (hate the look, and was always worried about the very exposed lip) Can't give an opinion on grip yet, just scrubbing them before I get my alignment, but it seems that everybody raves about them.

Just for the tire combo I had because tire brand and model makes a difference. It also accomplished the stretch I wanted...other than that I would not recommend that tire combo.

Call me dumb but TireRack.com doesn't show the Michelin PS2 in a 255/35-19. Also, DiscountTireDirect.com doesn't show having 285/35-19's. LOL I honestly don't want to order from two different companies. So does anyone have any other suggestions where I can order Michelin PS2 tires?
