Default How do I check the offset of my rims?

So the guy I bought the car from this guy and he gave me his wheels. 19' Ruff Racing 278's. I want to sell them soon and get new ones and I know I need the information on the sizes in order to sell them on this forum. That, and I really like the size and will probably get the same size on the next set of rims I get. So question is, how do I check the offset? Does it say on the tires or anything? I would ask the guy himself, but I lost his number already.... Thanks guys. =]

it should say on the backside of the rim or you might see it under the tire when the tire is removed. If your wheels are flush with the fenders without wheel spacers they are probably 20+ offsets. search " ruff racing 278 350z" on ebay and you will see these wheels for the z for that offset.

there might be a sticker on the inside of the wheel on the barrel that hass all the information. You can just post a picture up. I can tell you the general range (on ur car). Its pretty obvious as long as i know the width of the wheel it self, and if u have a spacer on or not.

If the offset is not stamped on the wheels, it is next to impossible with removing the tires.

You may be able to drop a line from the center of the wheel. Then measure the distance between the line and the mounting surface. It will be dificult to get an accurate measurement.
