Front camber kit a must?
Hi guys, need some advice. I blew a front tire last night and I will probably get all 4 new ones. I am lowered ~1 1/4" inch front, 1" rear on Zeal V6 coilovers. Running Volks SF Challenge 9.5 front +28, 10.5 rear +23. When i did the coilover install noticed that my front tires were in bad shape on the inner side. The rears looked OK. I went ahead and installed the SPC camber kit anyway. My aligment numbers are
LF -1.66 camber, +.03" toe
RF -2.00 camber +.04" toe.
LR -1.41 camber +0.06" toe
RR -1.48 camber +0.05 toe
The before toe numbers on the front were way out LF +.07" RF -.11" I think this is probably what chewed out my front tires, not the negative camber.
Before I drop big money on 350evo front arms and new Michelin PS2 I would like to know if the arms are really necessary?
I am currently on Bridgestone SO3 with about 12K miles on them, but since I already blew 1 front tire, I don't expect the others to last much longer. Car is not a daily driver so mileage is on the low side.

anywho, your front camber isnt too bad. for comparative sake, mine is set near -2.5* for the front. the only thing that sicks out to me is the difference in the front camber between left and right. it's probably not big enough to cause a pull to either side, but wierd nonetheless. maybe its the ride height difference from left to right?
well, you dont need front camber arms, but if you do decide on them, you could save a few $$ and buy some cusco units. i believe they are ablre to add +.5* of camber and thats pretty much all you need. unless you feel like taking your car to the track

I've heard good things about the 350Evo arms like how easy it is to adjust the camber on the fly. The only down side is the price. If you dont plan on tracking the car a whole lot, I say go with the Cusco's. They should have enough range for what you need.

Hey Tony, how is it going? The Zeal's are a great ride so far, after figuring out the rear adjustment thing... so what is the proper adjustment on them anyway? I seem to be very close to maxed out the spring adjustment and I am lowered ~1" . I really want to go up about around a 1/4" just to have a little more clearence without having to roll the fenders and have a more even gap front and rear. I am as low as I want to go in the front right now, I can clear my driveway!
My fender to ground measurement on the front is 25 3/4" on both sides. I'll probably try and raise the left a little and see if my camber numbers are more even.
How good are the Cusco arms? Seems that the forum concensus is that the 350evo are the best, and most others have some quirks or problems.
