I can't give first hand knowledge though. I run Avon Tech M550 AS all around and I cannot complain about them.
I was going to get the Eagle F1 GS-D3 for my 06 Enthusiast but I was just informed by discount tires that good year no longer makes the size for the fronts (225 45 R18). Is there another size I can use to make these tires work or should I just pick a different tire ?
I was going to try the all season F1 instead but read Davidv's post that it was not as good of a tire as the GS-D3.

245 40 18. Close to the same OD. I've been running that size up front for quite some time.
As a bonus, it should take a bit of the front end understeer out of the equation by having the same width front and rear.
I need some help. My rear tires are done I just put a greddy twin turbo kit in my car i cant catch any traction what so ever. I daily drive my car about. But i also want to be able to get some traction 1st and 2nd gear. what would you guys recomend.

I hate consumer reports, they are biased towards certian brands in everything. Yes sometimes they are correct but when it comes to tires it all depends. Each brand puts out a tire that is good for each specific thing. If you are looking for traction w/ a turbo i suggest high performace tires, any brand will do imo. I mean to bad if you dd it in the rain you should have thought about that b4 you went turbo or just go easy on the gas. Each brand has it's ups and downs. Any tires that is smooth is gonna wear faster and any tires that wears slowly is gonna feel rough. I also suggest tirerack.com it's more of a real guide than consumer report.
When I pick up some new wheels, I'm gonna go for the Vredestein tires. Up til now, I've had nothing but Potenza RE050A Pole Positions. Very nice tires, but expensive.
How does the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S compare to the Pirelli PZero in terms of handling and control for a place like California. I ask this cause the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S comes in the tire size I need, unlike the Pirelli PZero, and is priced right but its an all season tire. Thanks
I run the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S in TX, and it's time to replace em at 40k miles, at least the rears. They're quiet and keep handle like a pure summer tire, I came from using Nitto 555's and those made my car a death trap in the rain.
