305/30/18 with stock suspension and body work?

On my NISMO LMGT4s I run a 275/40/18, well, my co-driver Mike and I got the brilliant idea to stuff a 305/30 Hoosier (lightly used) on the back since we had major wheelspin issues at the NCCC autox... granted that was more likely due to an over-enthusiastic throttle foot *cough MIKE cough* but still. Traction is a good thing. Ordered up some cheap 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra rims, offset seemed pretty much perfect on paper, 18x9 ET 26 18x10.5 ET 27 and honestly, minus the stupid cobra center caps (buddy at a machine shop was gonna make ones with the Z logo for me anyway) they're quite impressive quality / weight / finish. At least, IMO, but still who cares, they're race wheels, might flat-black them anyway ![Wink](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
So the wheels came in today. Test fit a rear, I taped up the lug holes and the inside of the centerbore in case it was WAY off and I needed to send them back... put two 2x4 pieces stacked under the rim and several layers of a rubber mat and lowered the car's weight on it to compress the suspension fully.
Sorry about the pic quality, Pat (roommate / photographer) is a tard and under-exposed them and shot at ISO400, doh.

So WILL THE TIRES FIT my bodywork?

i hope you don't have the unfortunate luck that your slip on will come on when turning =/ when i had 285/30/18's in my rear tires for my time attacks, the slip on always came on cuz the fronts were 265/35/18. i dont know if that was the problem but I thought it could have been, I changed it to 35's in the rear and the slip on never came on again. I was just wondering since you're running 40's in the front and going to be running 30's in the rear.
(by the way, 305's are fat!!!)

oh no, we're going to a smaller 35 in front with the hoosiers. should be an almost equal percentage change / ratio - either way i run with VDC off at the track, was probably gonna hard-wire a cut-off for it anyway.... much easier to steer with the throttle than to let the electronics try and steer with your brakes
