Default So my tires are feathered, I got an idea!

Alright Z owners, I have those potenza's with the cheesy treadwear rating that come stock on a Z. Now as i go down the road thiese things howl into the night and its obvious that they are feathered and the front is out of allignment (if you look at the tire my inner most tread is 1/2 the height of the rest). Now my question is to minimize feathering in my next set of tires, What if i were to upgrade the front as others have to 245/45/18 (I have a touring edition) and keep the back @ 245 and then say every 3000-5000 rotate the tires on the rimms. Now I'm sure if it doesn't stay in alignment that they will feather but what happens when you put two feathered tires on the back and smoke them off till all the tread is equal length every rotation? Will this infact give me the life i expect out of my tires? Rather to have 7000-20,000 out of a set rather than 5000 and they are howling.

Also can u fix feather tires like by basicly burning them down so the tread is equal? (saying that you also just had your car aligned)

thats some of the worse logic ever. Lets even out the tread in the rear by doing burnouts and expecting better tread life

Man so your logic to increase tread life is wear them down faster on the rears so that they'll even out? I pray to God you don't have kids.

well, if you are so certain of this , why don't you be the first and step up to the plate? which i ask, have you heard of the term "put up or shut up" ? if not, then go muddy the waters somewhere else instead of waiting to get on a bandwagon. thanks and have a great day.

You're joking right? There are thousands of post on this subject. The banwagon has been rolling down the road for 3 years. Maybe you should search before making accusations.
Feathering "sticky" perhaps?

oh yes, i did search, and all i found was more threads about you griping about the tires, but yet you do nothing about it but made the threads and posts like this. that is what i meant by "put up or shut up" . no response of yoru own in the stickied thread because you foudn it better to start your own little cry fest instead.

and anyway, if the OP wanted to, he can read the NY lemon laws and find out if he is even eligible to claim it.

so please, you hate the car so much ( or at least you hate the tires on the car) then do nto buy a sports car, go get a honda and have a nice day.
