Default Black rims on a SMB

Just wondering how you guys would think a San Marino Blue would look with black rims. I don't have photoshop, but here's a picture, feel free to photoshop the rims black if you want.

It would look horrible. Way to dark on an already dark colored car. If it were black, then OK, but black rims on dark blue is gonna be odd lookin'.

it might look good...but i think the SMB is so dark already that the small distinction between the black and blue might look a little funny. All blck definitly wouldnt look right, maybe a polished lip.

I think the SMB looks classier with silver wheels though. Some bright silver SF challenges would look hot.

I think a gunmetal rim would look great for the dark racing wheel look.

Gunmetal would look great...Black is kinda hard, but maybe if you do all flat black with SMB out lined on edge of lip ( time attack style) maybe you could pull it off.

+1 It would look wierd. You need contrast with a dark blue with heavy pearl like that SMB.

RMC or RBC would look nice on SMB. Or a fully polished face.

I vote for mercury silver Axis Penta's on that car. Aggressive and clean looking. Sometimes less is more....

Order of preference:

Gray/Gunmetal
Bronze
Silver
Black
... Other.

Black would look fine. Black and navy are a very classy combination.

Black and Blue
Q. I've always been told never to wear black and navy blue together but I've seen a lot of men wearing black shoes with their dark navy blue pants. Is that acceptable dress or a fashion mistake?/p>

A.Black and blue are perfectly OK to wear together, and actually the preferred combo. I'm not sure exactly when the aesthetic changed, but I do remember when cordovan or brown were acceptable choices for navy.

I voted yes, but i would go with a gun metal rather than a gloss black, gun metal looks good on everything imo.

Wow buffalojoe, impressive job with the photoshop, I was leaning away from the idea based on the feedback but I actually like the way the black looks on the car a lot, especially with the polished lip. Thanks man.
