One of the techs on the team I worked for (the senior tech mind you) put a spacer on backwards (we didn't think it was possible with hubcentric spacers, but apparently you can) and the car came in after 4 laps with a broken hub and a seriously F***ed up wheel.

+1 on needs a drop.

why would the wheels fall off ? Spacers have been used for a long time on a lot of vehicles. Yes they are the stock chrome wheels. They dont look too bad now that the spacers are on. I actually am beginning to like them. They are not flashy at all. Not to bad with the silver alloy either.

from what i've been reading, shouldnt the spacers help handling? although I've heard it puts extra stress on the hub bearings..

something like that.. or am i crazy.

I have done some research before I went with the spacers, and found out that many many vehicles use spacers. They use them in all sorts of settings as well, anywhere from the track to off road. As long as you get the proper spacers for your vehicle(hubcentric) and install them correct you should be fine. Although it would be pretty difficult to mess up the install. More or less like changing a tire out. Pretty simple.

I havent really noticed any difference in handling after the spacers were put on. But then again I only had the Z for about 2-3 weeks before putting the spacers on. Not much of a test period I guess. So far I have not had any problems. The spacers only have about 100 miles or so on them. Tiday I am double checking the lug nuts to make sure they are still tight.
