the kdw's are going to provide better dry traction at the expense or added harshness and wet traction and noise, its up to you which is more important

really? I was under the impression the 452's have identical dry traction to the kdw's. They aren't the KD's.

Falkens were designed for luxury performance, and don't have excellent grip characteristics, this is from my research so far, I'm currently running the prev gen 451's, and they also perform similarly. I'm assuming is talking about the kdw2's, which are known for their dry grip

I just purchased some 452's and should be on next Tuesday. I should be able to give you some analysis by then, but I'm still on the stocker Potenza RE040s.

The Falken 515's consistently perform better than any tire on the track (not in long distances). The 452's provide less dry grip than the 615's, and more wet, but they are on par with the kdw's. And the KD's are the ones known for their dry grip, not the kdw's.

I run the 452's and they're great tires.

The one nice thing about the 452's, from what I have read, they wont be almost bald after 10K miles like my Potenzas are. I would think they would have better grip for burning out so fast. :shrugs:

I wouldn't buy Falkens even when I was in my ricer years. Crap, 10x fold. This is my opinion. Go for the KDW or Toyo.

I love my KDW's. It takes extra effort to get any noise out of them, and the dry traction is unbelievable for being street tires.

From what Ive heard, the KDWs are not very noisy the first half of their life. The real noise starts when they are less than 50%

Falken FK-451's were crap on my car. One reason why the 452's grip better is because in the same size they are easily 50mm wider. They have fatter sidewalls and run even wider than tha KDW's.

The BFG tires are better tires overall IMO.

my kdws are loud as fawk, though i think i may have flat spotted one. the grip is awesome though, and they will last me longer than the re040s and the s03s even with more autoxs and road course test and tunes (plus a little drifting at the road course). since i don't really care about civility i would definitely get the kdws again.

Im not a tire expert by any means but when I talked to the rep at Discount Tire Co. he told me that Falken 452's are better for wet traction. From what I see on this forum, most guys that have the KDW's have F.I. or track their car a lot. This is my first order of the Falken's, if you arent purchasing the tires right away, I'll let you know how they ride and how they handle in wet/dry conditions.

I've got 452's and love how they are quite. My previous car i had some Yokohama Prada Spec-2 and boy where those LOUD. So far i haven't burned out in the 452's but i have done some cornering in them...and it feels good . Also did some wet road cornering last night and the car felt planted....i did finally lose traction once i really increased the speed through the corner. This tire is great if you want something civilized....they are quite as a mother******
