Default Need help deciding what rear tire size?? 285/40 or 285/35

I have a set up (current) on my bronze nismos
front : 245-40-18
Rear: 275-40-18

One of my rear is gone and the second one is about to be gone.
so need to replace my rears ones now!!

so should i do go with the 275-40-18 again!!
or should i go with 285-40-18 (too big or not ???) or what about 285-35-18?? please help

i know the recommended size for nismo is 245/40 and 275/40 combo
since the rear is 9.5, i wonder if i can go with a 285/40 or 285/35??

The rear tires are only 3.50 mm taller than the front. I do not like this set-up with VDC.

I ran that setup with absolutely no problems with VDC. OP I would go with 285/35

so if i go with the 285-35-40 in the rear
then my setup would look like

275-40-18 front
285-35-18 rear

will that balance out????

Do not run 275/40 front and 285/35 rear. Your VDC will flip out and kill you in your sleep.

285/35 are less likely to rub the fender than 285/40 (since the diameter is smaller).

I put 275/40's in mine and I had rubbing issues (only under high-G turns under acceleration). Most people didn't have these issues with the same size tires, but most people don't drive like I do (on the track, mostly). I ended up rolling the inside fender lip, solving the problem completely, but some folks don't want to mess with that. My wheel offset was probably a factor as well.. I probably should have gotten 5mm higher offset.

what tires are you planning on running in the front is the question. 285/35 is fine in the rear with 245/40 in the front.
