Default Kumho MX in the rain

How does the Kumho MX perform in the rain? Thinking about putting these on my Z which i drive almost everyday and only rarely (like once in a few months) take to track or autox. How do they compare to the stock re040's in the rain? Also, will 245.40/18 front and 275.40/18 rear affect VDC?

I did a search already and seems everyone only takes these to autox or track. Anyone using these daily?

I use them for everyday. They're a great tire for the wet northwest and you can get some pretty good wear out of them. I had 20k on the rears before I replaced them and currently have about 37k on the fronts.

It was tricky driving the Kumho in the wet, however, because once the tire started sliding, it took seemingly forever to recover and regain traction. That behavior would have been excused if the Kumho had posted fast numbers in the dry, but it didn't.
