Default The Best 5mm spacer avaliable for the Z?

I really need a 5mm spacer, what is the best one to go?

I heard that anything 3mm or less you can just go with your factory stud as it is small enough. But at 5mm you will need to get longer stud.

I want a 100% save way to add 5mm to the rear wheel, anyone can recommand me some good spacers?

I know H&R is good, but I am not sure if they made spacer for the Z33 yet? Any other brand that is just as good as H&R?

you can go 5mm in rear without adding longer studs... I did that for about a month before I got my large spacers...

The front studs are shorter and I wouldn't think you'd want to go more than 3mm without longer studs.

Thanks N74DV, just the answer I wanted to hear.

Do you know what are the mininium required amount of full turn on the lug that nissan needs to consider safe for car running with spacers?

I was looking over the net and it end up that for Supra, toyota require that 8 full turn of each lug would be consider safe.

I think the Supra uses a 1.5 pitch. Nissan uses 1.25

I have understood Nissan's need to be at least 5 turns.... but don't hold me to that.

N74DV,
You don't happen to have a link to where you bought your wheel spacers from do you?

If you're running aftermarket wheels, you might be able to use a "shanked" style lug nut (also called "ET" style).

These nuts have a 5-6mm shank which extends past the bottom of the lug nuts' taper, giving you 5-6mm more thread engagement on the studs (when compared with a 'normal' lug nut).

If your wheels use 'Tuner' style (small diameter) lug nuts, you're SOL, and will need to use longer studs for anything more than a 3mm spacer.

To use the ET style nuts, the O.D. of the lug bolt pilot hole should be .625" to use this type of nut. You can safely run up to 5mm of spacer with these, while retaining proper thread engagement.

You can source them through Custom Wheel Accessories, for the Nissan 12x1.25, it is part number 4805.

CWA can be reached at (714) 827-5200 or (800) 222-4CWA.
