Default RE01-R VS Kumho MX

Im debating between these two tires and want to hear some comment from people who have experiences with these tires. I live in Vancouver Canada which rains all the time in fall and winter. My Z is my dd but I do not intend to drive a lot in the winter/snow. Plan to track the car at least twice before summer ends. That's why im choosing performance tires. Hear a lot of great comments about RE01-R. But the Kumho MX also not bad and the price is very attractive. But not sure if both tires are good for dd. It's very hard to choose tires without experiencing them. Please give me some input.

Thanks

Did you not read this?

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...tenza+RE-01R_1

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...ay.jsp?ttid=71

since these are not your delicated track tires, I say go for the MX, better wear rate.

I don't think the MX is even comparable to RE-01R. RE-01R is as close to R-compound as you can get...

You can wait a little bit for the upcoming Dunlop Direzza Z1 (semi-R compound like the RE-01R) and see if the pricing would be more lenient...the Z1 is coming this August
