If safety were my primary concern, I probably wouldn't get narrower rims and run widths closer to stock, but I know the car, and I know how I drive (I grew up in eastern Canada... and I know how to change my style according to weather) so I feel okay getting *somewhat* wider tires. But I think 275 is as much as I'm willing to go. Would that extra 10mm make the difference? Probably not... since I'm not stupid enough to test the car's limits over the Granville St bridge covered in standing water during a rainstorm... but I gotta set my limits.
As for stretch... I don't think it's that bad, really. I'm not a fan of stretch at all, and I don't see it with 275s on 10.5s. Also, I've been led to believe that the ideal rim size is 0.5 inch narrower than the maximum width recommended by tire manufacturers. And Toyo suggest 9.0 - 11.0" rims for their 275/40/18s. So I think I'll be okay there, too. Thanks for the suggestions, though!

The advans and work CR-Kai are both lightweight and look amazing.
Performance wise, hands down the 18s are better. But again, its not everyday we track our cars
anyway, here's my TE-37 in 19

Coming from a guy who has 19" TE-37 Time Attacks.... Get 18's man. I would love to run 18x10.5 +15 TE's with some nice DR tires like the falken azenis rt-615's. The tire options are way better and you have the best set-up for performance. If you slam the Z on some coilovers and have some nice concave wheels the 18's will look amazing.
With a 265/35 tire set-up all the way around you can even rotate your tires !!!!!!!!!

18s and 19s are visually different, I can tell easily. Go 18s, if you are driving this daily and likes to drive up to speed. 19s are a little slower and it definitely has a harsher ride. I love looks, so I got 19s and have been happy since I got it for over 2 years with no replacement tires yet.
