I had the 245/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear setup with my Work XD9 and the fronts will be fine. But, my rears rubbed. Well it rubbed on my tanabe NF210 spring setup. Which lowered my car 1.5 inches on all four. I just switched the rear tires to a 35 series. Or you can go 35 series for the fronts also. I wouldn't roll my fenders. To much risk of the paint chipping if not done right.

i remember i did the 40/35 in front/rear and the fronts look a lot bigger... seeing the xd9s rear look small as is, im guessing 35's all the way around would look best?
