Default Just bought some new tires.....Question?????

Do newer tires sometimes have a "spongier" feel to them when new. Even if they are Z rated performance tires?
Just bought some Nitto Neogens for the rear 275/35/19, still have Falkens on the front.
I know they are All-season performance tires, but the Falken tires I had on before 275-30-19 where wayyyyyy grippier than these.

Although it has been said a hundred times, new tires are slippery. Do not critique traction until after 200 miles.

As to feel, all tires feel different.
