Default Do my wheels match???

the tire shop scratched my wheel while installing new tires so they repainted it. i got it back yesterday and, as i expected, the paint doesn't match.

what should i do? take it back and ask for it to be repainted?
leave it alone?
ask for a brand new wheel?

it's pretty obvious that it doesn't match, wouldn't you say?

(it's the front wheel that was repaired)

The front wheel is darker, but I wouldn't notice if you didn't tell me first.

yeah. i figured that's what most ppl would say. the thing is, is that it makes the car look dirty like the front wheel has brake dust on it or something, and i hate that. i wash my car every week so that it looks clean. also, the new wheel is very clean and the back wheel hasn't been washed for a week so when i do wash it, it's going to look even worse.

couldn't they just take that wheel off, buy me a new one, and sell my old one so that they don't lose all their money on the deal?

I would think so, but I also know you can find a used one for really cheap if it starts to bug you.

yeah. i just hate it that i am going to be out money for a mistake that they made. i dont' care if it's even 20 dollars. it's their fault and they should buy a new one, right---especially since i just paid them 1000 dollars for new tires and i can't tell you how many times i've had to go back to them to have things looked at. i had to drive around on a donut for 4 days while they "fixed" my wheel.

i'm a little depressed right now, to be honets.

Dealer screwed up my rear wheels when removing. I brought it to their attention and agreed to have them fixed. However, 06'wheels are HYPER SILVER and not just silver. It looked odd therefore i asked them for new wheels. they reluctantly agreed to replace new wheels. If you're not happy or satisfied, demand having them replaced.

that's what i'm going to end up having to do. i think they may have used the SILVER liked you mentioned and not the HYPER SILVER. oh well. i'm just going to keep bringing it back and keep bringing it back until they eventually decide it's going to save them more money if they just buy me a new wheel.

it's fair. in life, when you mess up, you have to pay. i always do. they should too.
