oh BTW, forgot to say i have 19s on the way, so you know what im working with.

 

When i got my 19's i purchased the spring right after i saw my gaps , it badly needed a drop. too much of a gap for my tastes..... only thing is i wish i purchased the springs before i put the wheels on, i hated driving with the gap......thats just pref...also the ride is smoother on stock suspension always..

Anywho. Do not do 20s. Serisouly. If you are planning on modding the car (ie turbo, or anything performance) anything above 19 takes away from it. Honestly in that aspect anything above 18 really.

But to answer your question 19s with stock height would look fine.

living in kentucky i cant lower my car or else ied drag on everything around here and wouldnt be able to go alot of places, even in the cities

I ran my car for a while with 19s at stock height. It's not bad at all. However, the car looked much better after I lowered it.

oh and id only want to get rid of the gap, and lower it as little as id have to...hate worrying about scraping and such.

 

Man man man. It kills me to see people paying a shop to do a simple process. If it takes four times as long to get it done, but you did it in your garage youll appreciate it better. If the shop takes longer than an afternoon to do it whenever they start youre getting screwed.

 

Here is my Z with 19" Volk LE 37t's and stock ride height. I plan on dropping it a bit, but I am not ashamed to be seen in it

 

As far as lowering it, I would lean towards a really stiff suspension. That and I think Im just bias towards rims with a fat lip

 

sorry i didnt clarify...my friends "shop," he uses one of the garages at his house. i was going to take it to a shop, but cut install costs in half at least. hes installing everything for a pretty decent 1500 i offered him. +1 for friends

Yeh my gf has axis 19s with a 4 or 5 inch lip on her mk4. But shes only rocking 275/35/19. Too skinny for me. Theres a 295 minimum. Prefer 315s

 

I'm on stock suspension... no complaints really... although i would like to drop it, NY roads won't allow for that.

I bought the Eibach Pro-Kit springs at the same time I bought my 18" Enkei's, but after I put my front lip on I chickened out on the springs. I've already scraped it a few times. Any lower and I'd not be able to drive anywhere! So, for now they sit in a box in my living room (much to my wife's displeasure).
