Default Volk polished lip

Hey guys I was reading in the DIY section about how one guy here had stripped the clearcoat from his Volks polished lip to get rid of a haze and water spots and then polished them. I have a set of Volk GT-Cs that I have had for about a year and my lips seem to be in good shape.

I thought that it seemed very extreme to have to go to that level plus once the clearcoat is gone it would be harder to maintain. I waxed my wheels not that long ago which seems to make them clean easier.

Have many of you Volk owners had any issues with the lips? Is there anything other then waxing them that I can do to maintain the finish?

Thanks

Sorry guys I just saw the stickied post by Andy @ Performance Nissan and it really answered my question. He basically does the same thing I do just wash and then uses Meguires detail spray.

I'd still be curious to find out how well peoples wheels have held up over time.
